As a lifelong self-taught artist in a variety of mediums, when I discovered my passion for ceramics, I saw the potential to express the connection between clay and nature in my art. The beauty in working with clay are the endless possibilities–– as with the beauty in nature–– both are always growing and evolving.

 

Each piece is hand built by me, and no two are exactly alike. My focus thematically is on Fauna and Animalia . Being in nature, whether it is mushroom hunting in a forest or whale spotting in the ocean, each piece is always a unique experience, and every plant and animal are their own creatures. I try to capture this uniqueness in what I make, so all my finished pieces have their own individual personalities.
